Poster Project

Image
This project has by far been my favorite! I am a huge color palette person, I love playing with the aesthetic of a project just by playing with the color palette and this project gave me the perfect outlet to play with this idea. I chose to use the word "Drama Queen" for my poster because for me I take pride and can acknowledge I am a drama queen in life so I felt like it was a perfect message to put on my poster. One artist choice I made was to make the word queen bigger than the word drama and also I wanted it to be the last thing the viewer saw on my poster so that's the word they are left with. I did this because I wanted more emphasis to be on the fact that I am a proud queen in all senses, even a dramatic one! This is my poster in a simple black and white color palette. This is my poster in a pink and purple toned color palette.

Logos Project

For the Logos project, we had to start by creating a list of words to describe ourselves. My 5 words were...                                                                                                                                                   1. Calligram

For this project, it required us to spend A LOT of time looking at our faces. This was my first time using Adobe Illustrator and I was so excited to learn a new program, I did run into some issues when trying to complete this project but overall it was awesome. I think it was really interesting the way this project made us look deeper than our skin and truly create ourselves with what we believed to be on the inside.

My Coding Journey

Image
When I came into this class and learned we were going to be coding, I almost cried. Coding was always something that seemed so scary and daunting to me and I had no clue where to start. Then we started and I found that while at every step coding challenged me, I actually ended up loving it by the time I got to my last project. 1. This was my first ever coding project, and I remember being so proud and feeling so accomplished when I turned it in. 2. Then we were given the task to make a landscape and I was so scared that this was going to hours and I wasn't going to come up with something good. While this might not be the best or prettiest work, I honestly put so much time and used every skill I have been taught this far in coding to make this so I felt on top of the world and like I had made something amazing when I was done. 3. For this project, we were told to build off of what we had already created, for me this project was amazing because it sho...
